Edvina Ng is the youngest daughter of Prof. Edvard Ng and lives with her father at the Ng Dome on the moon of Gecko. She eschews the standard bubble helmet, claiming it makes her hair brittle, and instead prefers to wear one of her father's early headgear prototypes.

Eddie is a great admirer of and advocate for the Gloy of Gecko (see Gloy), who regard her with special favor. Eddie is the only non-Gloy to witness and endure their sacred Dissonance Festival and in many ways she has become the Gloy's unofficial ambassador to the rest of the universe.
