According to the Encyclopedia Galactica, the Grog Home Planet is predominantly covered with a thick sea of multilayered bio-ooze and living murk which has spawned millions of green-centric life forms, Grogs being only one. Most of the planet's few land masses are covered with mossy jungles and territorial vine colonies.

Grogs live most of their lives below the surface of the primary layer of ooze in social communities called Pods... Lt. Commander Grog's Bio-Records show that his Pod holds an ancestral claim to this bog... right here...
